Time to pick up my terrible little criminals here let's see.
First is Overseer Zatte, the current head of the Theta-9 research facility. She had previously been a liquidator and took over the overseer role after her older brother, the previous overseer Zaige, was killed during the Theta-9 massacre. She's got a serious beef with his killer, and a good chunk of her work at Theta-9 circulates around getting revenge.
Laxzzi is more Inquest muscle than anything else. She serves as a bodyguard to some of the Inquest's elite, and is usually seen around the council chambers providing protection for Councilor Yahk. She joined the Inquest after leaving the Peacemakers in the aftermath of a breakout that took her eye and killed her wife. Quiet but surprisingly soft under all the gruff.
An unassuming figure, Korrix blends in well with the people around him, which works out- he's an Inquest liquidator, whose job circles entirely around seeking out members of the Inquest who have "abandoned their post" in order to liquidate their position.. because a resignation from the Inquest is a body bag with your name on it. He's had a fairly high ranking target as of late in one of the commanders, Vezz, which has made him start to question his loyalties.
Wouldn't be complete, either, without talking about AR Director Miyya The head of the mysterious, high ranking Ethics Committee, she's a small, unassuming older asura who strikes fear into most of those that see her coming. A visit from the Ethics Committee is never welcome anyway, but it's even worse if you see her coming down the hall... or calling you to her office for a "special meeting."
And a special mention for my recently retired commander, Vezz! His whole story started with having been a researcher with the Inquest, leaving in explosive fashion after discovering his overseer was facilitating lethal experimentation on children. In a furious rage, he killed everyone in the facility, including the overseer Zaige. He's been person of interest number one with the Inquest ever since.
And an honorable mention to Vezz's younger half brother, Teall. Also a former Peacemaker, he saw his older brother as a blemish on his mother's good name, a useless failure who needed eradicated. His constant antagonizing of Vezz and eventual partnership/relationship with Zatte eventually drew too much negative attention, considering Vezz's role as one of the commanders, and he got kicked out of the Peacemakers. This led him to join the Inquest as Zatte's boy toy muscle.
Alright peeps time for another Show Off Your Characters post.
Can't believe I haven't made this one already, but today's topic is: Inquest!
Share the worst of your worst. I want to see all your amoral criminals, tortured minds & misunderstood tragedies. Talk about them as much or little as you want, drop some pics. 3, 2, 1 go:

Once among the most brutal Peacemakers, disliked by a considerable amount of Rata Sum's populace, the originally believed disgraced Teall is no longer held back by red tape and rulebooks.
The newest agent in the Arcane Eye, his vicious nature has been nurtured, and he has his sights set on one of the council's... thorns.
That his target is the former commander is no nevermind to him...

Oh I absolutely have to share the most bastard of all my characters. Teall, Vezz's younger half brother. He spent most of his time with his father Larrs after Vezz's mother, Cautti, cut him off because of how he treated her older son.
As a decently high ranking Peacemaker, he's really a bully with a badge. And though his methods get results and praise from his superiors, he's very disliked among the populace for his brutality.
Teall may be the younger brother but his Cain Complex regarding Vezz is intense all the same. He's jealous of the attention he's gotten as he rose to (unintentional) fame as one of the commanders, feeling he was fully undeserving of the accolades due to his tumultuous, blood-soaked past with the Inquest.
Despite his hatred of the Inquest, his hatred for Vezz burns stronger, and that led him to join forces with the new overseer of the Theta-9 facility, Zatte, to help her get revenge on his brother for killing her brother. Anything to finally see Vezz put in the ground.
He's got blinders a mile wide and cannot seem to realize that his own jealousy has pushed him past the point of no return.
Since it's bastard-loving hours. GW2 community, share your basards with me.
big basards smol basards, sweet looking basards....give me your basards.
share as little or as much as you want :3

Thinking about making some minor tweaks to Teall's backstory to make him less jerked around by everyone else. There's still a measure of manipulation in the person he became, but it's less weak willed and more misled by people he trusted that turned him into a young man who bitterly resented his older brother.

So the more I think about it, the more I wonder if Teall should be kicked off the Peacemakers in the end.
I've talked a lot recently about the Arcane Council being in the Inquest's pocket, or at least so closely tied with them that it's hard to tell where the lines cross.
Teall's constant going after Vezz was making the Peacemakers look bad. This was making the council look bad as well. And so he does eventually get removed from the Peacemakers.
But what if it wasn't that cut and dry.
What if his removal from the Peacemakers was more... a promotion.
I say this with the distinct implication that Teall may get removed from the Peacemakers... only to be given rank in the Arcane Eye.
I'm not sure yet now this will affect the story going forward. Because this would involve the council revealing that they're more or less in bed with the Inquest, and Vezz's involvement with the Inquest was largely why he'd hated him.
I don't half wonder if Flax wouldn't twist him in the other direction. To realize that Vezz's actions against the Inquest make the Peacemakers and the Council look bad.
I'll be percolating on this for a bit.

I DO!
Agent Teall!
I'd actually had him as a Peacemaker previously, but after some Story Events he gets moved over to an agent of the Arcane Eye. A bully with a badge, his dogged dedication made him an excellent nominee for the position.
Some of his supervisors refer to him as something like a hammer: effective to be swung with force at any nail that sticks out.
I'm currently replaying asura personal story and it has made me wonder something. There are tons of inquest ocs and some peacemaker ocs, but does anyone have an arcane eye oc?

Finally got some good screenshots of the bad cop himself, Teall of Cautti. Just an absolute nightmare of a boy.
Vezz's younger half brother, Teall, a young peacemaker with his sights on the Arcane Eye... and on seeing his older brother pay for his time with the Inquest.

Should You Fight My Characters, ASURA Edition
Qirri Tinkerfirst
She's 2'8" tall, like 50 lbs soaking wet, and chronically ill. Do not think this will cause her to give you any mercy. She goes for the kneecaps first, and if the kneecaps don't work, she has a rifle and her hand designed jade mech JUICE.
That being said, she doesn't really like to fight all that much. She prefers to be sitting and inventing, eating some steamed pillbugs or crunchy spider legs.
You COULD fight her, if you really want. But you might feel bad about it later. Or get eaten by a charr.
Pheazza
Do so at your own peril. She grew up in Lion's Arch, trained with a former Lionguard, and is a skilled tracker. She probably would've killed for her daughter if she'd found Theta-9 before Vezz killed everyone and busted her out, and she'd still do it.
Sure, she spends a lot of time taking care of her daughter and her pets, but make no mistake, Pheazza can and will fight the fuck out of you.
0/10, do not recommend.
Vezz
He's depressed with severe PTSD and stepped down from the role of commander after Joko because his wife got pregnant and he also was just at the end of his rope with his mental health. He probably won't fight you unless he's got a really good reason.
And let's be real he's moisturized, he's thriving, he's staying in his lane, he's actually getting therapy, he's got a wife, a ward, and two beautiful children...
You would definitely feel bad for fighting him. Do so at your own risk.
Zatte
She's hard to hit and very manipulative but she definitely deserves to be fought. Hasn't even burned her brother's body and has left his lab untouched after finding his mummified body there (weird??). Presently looking to murder someone in Misfits Inc to get revenge.
Gonna gaslight, gatekeep, girlboss her way into vengeance. Has terrible taste in men. She is with the Inquest still, so she's still got that there.
She could probably do to get fought a little bit.
Teall
Do it. I'll give you 20 copper.

Very fun to play around with! Makko of course being a tentative but true ally... and of course Vezz's shitlord of a little brother is aggressive from the jump.

Does Vezz know about Teall's vendetta against him? Do they interact at all during his time as commander?
Vezz knew Teall didn't like him; he's known that for a long time. And they did run across one another a few times. The vitriol was pretty obvious, but he never realized just how bad it was.
It wasn't until after he'd stepped down as commander that things really started to go off the rails. Rumors started reaching him from Cautti, he and Teall's mother, that he'd gotten involved with something that worried her, but he wouldn't tell her.
A little investigation, and a little of Pheazza's "I know a guy who knows a guy" energy, uncovered that he was working with Zaige's little sister Zatte.
Things really started to escalate after that, up to Zatte and Teall kidnapping Zanthe and Teall eventually getting kicked out of the Peacemakers for his increasingly unhinged behavior towards the former commander, his friends, and their families.
Teall has gone on record as threatening to hurt Qirri and Taimi to draw out Vezz, at least once.
I honestly think that continued failures just enraged him to the point that he could no longer see how unhinged he was really getting, to the point that he found himself in the exact place his older brother had found himself in after making some bad decisions, all while recognizing none of the irony.
